World Handicap System

From the 2nd November 2020 the way handicaps are calculated and used throughout the world will change.

Currently there are a number of different handicap systems in operation throughout the world.  The purpose of the World Handicap System is to replace this with one universal system that will allow all players to complete on a fair and equal basis anywhere.

The purpose of the information here is to help members start to get an understanding of the new system, how it works and what it means for you when it comes into force on the 2nd November 2020.  There are a number of videos which provide a guide through the scheme and are a useful starting point.

England Golf – World Handicap System

The launch of the World Handicap System on 2 November 2020 is fast-approaching and we wanted you to ‘know the score’ on the upcoming changes. The World Handicap System is designed to be simple and easy to understand. During a four-part education series we aim to demonstrate this to all golfers.
